Ellen McArthur Foundation Trust - The Circular Economy
Today’s linear ‘take, make, dispose’ economic model needs to be supported by large quantities of cheap, easily accessible materials and energy. However, it is a model that is reaching its physical limits. A circular economy is an attractive and viable alternative that businesses have already started exploring today.
The Big Green Event will provide an opportunity to find out more about what is the most obvious commercial way forward.

There is no debate, the climate is changing with more extreme weather events like floods, storms and droughts. Even in Eastleigh we can see the evidence. The grass is growing earlier and for longer and rain comes in more concentrated periods. The recent winter was unusually wet causing numerous roads to be closed at different times and a landslip in 2014 shut the Eastleigh to Fareham railway line. But even this disruption is nothing compared with other global events.

The Hilton Hotel
The Hilton Hotel is the venue for the 2016 Big Green Event.
Ideally located near the city of Southampton, the venue has one of the largest ballrooms in the UK, as well as several large adjacent space and rooms for workshops and clinics.
