Can you help us? 2018-04-11T10:55:22+00:00

Welcome and thank you so much for visiting our page.
We are known as the Green Ladies from The Southern Sustainability Partnership and
we have a really important question to ask you.

Can you help us?
To help Businesses Reduce their Carbon Footprint?
Because the time to act is now.

In 2015, a conversation between two dedicated, hard-working professional women - both running full-time businesses while supporting green business groups in their spare time, began to do no more than ask each other a question. “There is just not enough help out there for businesses, how can we do more?”

We wanted to help organisations to reduce the enormous cost of energy, recycling, waste, water and more - so that, in turn, they would naturally reduce their water wastage and carbon impact for their staff, their local community and the planet.

That question planted a seedling that, by January 2016 began to grow into what became
The Big Green Event. The event was free to attend and held at the Hilton Ageas Bowl just outside Southampton, Hampshire in October. The event has now become the best educational and support platform in the region, which now attracts businesses from across the United Kingdom.

Anita Potten - Left “Saying goodbye to a really good salary was a leap of faith for us both. Call us dedicated, stubborn - or stupid, but if we were going to do something we were going to put everything we had into it. And we did. We joke that we lived on bread, water and a passion to make something happen that first year, but the further along you go with a project the more you feel you cannot turn back. Or at least that was how it was for us. Supplier businesses began to book stands to demonstrate their solutions and experts lent their services to our keynote speaker theatre. Like us, they all believed it was important that something could and should be done.”

Lynda Daniels - Right “You open the doors to a new exhibition you have put everything into and hope. In that first year, we had some really big names join us, as well as from across the region, but not the numbers we had hoped for. However, we now realise that Rome was not built in a day and The Big Green Event was going to take time too. However, the feedback was so positive and we began to see exactly what was being achieved by bringing businesses together. So, we knew we must keep going and open again in 2017. We are now working on 2018, to be held October 2nd at the same venue which has become its home.”

Our dilemma, and why we need your help today, is that we still do not have the funds that will enable us to reach the number of businesses we know our events can help.

Can you help us to change that?

And donate a small amount today, to help us make a big difference tomorrow.
And, in turn, receive regular e-newsletters to keep you up to date with the work that we are doing and what is being achieved.

We will be pleased to receive a donation of any amount - you choose.
Because every penny counts and every act of generosity is appreciated.
